The List

I decided to start a list. On the list is anything I think of as kind of interesting.

so lets go through the list now.

1. Damson Jam.

Basically we had a pot of jam in the cupboard and I decided to have it on my crumpets for brinner (all I ate all day). It turns out that Damson really just means plum so it wasn't that exotic, but I discovered that I really like plum jam so that's a little bit of a win right there.

2. My Sleep Pattern.

I have accidentally got myself into a pattern of not going to sleep until at least half past 4 every morning. This is bad because I start uni again next week and need to make sure I get up on time for the train.

3. The Book.

The Innocent Mage by Karen Miller.
Its about a fisherman's son who leaves for the city to make his riches... little does he know about the prophecy and his fate.

4. The Work.

Tonight for new years I decided I would give working a try as I had never worked on new years eve. It went well for the most part. Except for the bit where I covered the chef's face with scalding water from the coffee machine (really sorry about that).
We set off these paper lanterns at midnight which was fun and I had never done before. mine was purple which is always a good thing :)

5. The Website.

I have been working on a website for my parents, it's only a small site for a bed and breakfast which they want to have, but its given me something to work on which I can really develop and get thoughts on almost instantly (result!).
Another good thing is that I can develop it for myself as well, which means I can incorporate CSS3 and HTML5 items to keep it really up to date and fresh.

The layout is still a bit of a concept for now but as you can see there is highlighting on hovered over links and its not shown but the forms become more opaque when in use. all of the text and effects are created in CSS3 so there is no JavaScript or flash animations, that makes it really fast to download the pages and also it takes up less space on the client computer.

The problem is I cant manage to get xampp to work so that means no database development for the time being :(

So that was the list. I don't think I will make another entry like today's because I think it was kind of boring.

I got stuck writing this so went and made some scrambled egg on toast half way through. I think it beat the plum jam.

Tomorrow will be the last day I see my girlfriend for over a week as she is going to N.Y to buy me lots of cool things ^.^ so I will probably miss her a bit (just a little bit).

As some of my closer friends know I broke my phone a few weeks ago. so hopefully the insurance for that will come through soon and I will be able to get another one "Oh proper phone how I have missed you!"

Well that's it for today. Sorry this was a boring one. I will try and make my life more interesting.

So This is Day 2

I found out yesterday that to integrate a web site into Facebook you need to have a hosted website.....
Sadface :(


Today I got my hair all cut down. Which is nice because I hate it when my hair gets in my eyes >.<

Its a lot shorter now :) but now my eyebrows look really heavy.

We started playing this game on-line called League of Legends get it for free here. its pretty good if you have friends to play it with and a lot of spare time (I tend not to go to bed until at least 2 so for me that is fine).
I tend to use master Yi as he is a pretty easy character to use and that's always a bonus for me.

Although we only had 22 people in the restaurant tonight we managed to work over £60 in tips so that was pretty cool.
I am also working new years eve so that might be quite fun. Unfortunately for my education I love what I do at work and always get myself into doing too many hours.

I'm still not sure what the point of this Blog thing is but its quite fun to write about life knowing that its not automatically posted to all of Facebook. Which makes me feel like this is more personal. So for the moment I am going to try and make a post every day. Hopefully tomorrow I will have done something productive to talk about.

In The Beginning

So I heard blogging was kind of a big thing around here?

Well whether I am right or wrong this is my first attempt at making a Blog.

what goes in a Blog?
As I sit here pondering the reason for my own Blog's existence I realised I don't actually know what a Blog is really for. Do I use it to vent my angers and to name and shame those people who annoy the shit out of me?

OR is it here to let people know what it is that I do with my life and to display the little fails and triumphant victories that occur in my day to day being.

Well whilst I decide here is a picture of something I did for the past two years that I loved and spent a HUGE fortune on.

I am the short one crouched down. And for a time... This was our fight.

a few months ago the close band of brothers that you can see fell apart. The thousands of miles we had driven over the year to play and train together were thrown aside as the team we fought for was sadly bought to its knees.

My decision to stop doing the one thing I really enjoyed has come down to the fact that.. without transport there is no training and no tournaments. I relied heavily on other drivers and so now, its my turn to learn to drive.

I expect driving to take up as much money as paintball did (at least until I have finished learning) and so for one to happen the other one couldn't.

I think I will try to create a website that will be embedded into Facebook. If and when I do I will post here to give a link so anyone who wants to can see how its getting on.
